Awards to be announced at 6 pm.

Valentine Wine Glass Painting (options for under 21)

All materials to paint your wine glass will be provided. Register ahead. Includes wine glass, paints and a glass of wine for 20.00. Bring a friend or family member.

If younger than 21, they can paint a tile to use for artwork in their room and have a non-alcoholic beverage.

Social distancing and mask wearing required.

Auction: Cornell Oil Painting

This beautiful oil painting of Cornell College Geology Building in the fall is being auctioned off. It is 18 1/2″ x 15 1/2″ framed. Comment in the comments on this Facebook post on your bid…starting bid is 50.00. You can bid multiple times, no limit on increments. Bidding will stop on Wednesday Dec 9th at 12:00 pm. Must pick up at Mount Vernon Creates (shipping not included but, willing to ship if paid in advance)This was prior to the Derecho. Stop in to see it in person.This would make a great Christmas gift to a Cornell alumni or current student or staff member.Let the bidding begin!!!

Artists Demonstrations Sept 14th

During the Lincoln Highway Arts Festival Mount Vernon Creates will be hosting some of our artists in our gallery and event center. See artists actively creating, ask questions and meet the artists.

Demonstration schedule:

In addition we will have a screen printer actively making our Mount Vernon Creates shirts.

Alcohol Ink Painting

Alcohol Inks Painting Class Dec 4th from 6 – 8pm

Alcohol Inks Painting Class…sign up now at Mount Vernon Creates. This class is designed for non-artists and artists wanting to pick up techniques. You will be taught techniques in which to build on and create your own master pieces. We will complete a few projects on Yupo paper and tiles.

Cost for class: 25.00 (includes materials)

We also have Cedar Ridge or Brick Arch wine on site for sale. You can bring in snacks to enjoy.

If you would like to schedule a private painting event for a group, please let us know.
